A European company
Faxette is operated by Sbergio BV, a Belgian company registered under enterprise number 0717.670.930, at Avenue des Tilleuls 2a, 1180 Uccle, Belgium.
Where your data goes
On www.faxette.com, the app, database and document storage are in the United States. Our European site has separate accounts, fax history and EU document storage.
EU storage does not mean every supplier processes data only in the EU. Telnyx sends the fax, Postmark sends service emails and Stripe handles payments. These services can involve processing outside the EU.
Documents are kept briefly
Fax documents are scheduled for deletion 48 hours after the fax finishes. You can choose “Delete documents after delivery” to queue deletion once it is delivered. Failed faxes keep their documents for the 48-hour resend window. Deletion runs in background jobs, so it may take longer if a job is delayed.
Fax and payment records are kept separately from documents. Our privacy policy explains what those records contain and how long we keep them. Deleting our copy does not delete copies held by the recipient or other providers.
Access to your documents
A fax status link shows its status and details, including the fax number and document names, but cannot download the documents. Keep this link private. Customer downloads require signing in to the account that sent the fax; documents sent as a guest cannot be downloaded later. Faxette staff can access records to operate the service.
The fax network
Telnyx retrieves the fax PDF through a temporary signed link and sends it over the fax network. Faxette does not provide end-to-end encryption to the recipient’s fax machine. Check the fax number and who can access the receiving device before sending confidential information.
For dental practices and law firms
Patient files and confidential case documents need additional care. Your professional duties and national requirements may limit whether fax is appropriate. Before using Faxette for these documents, contact us to discuss data processing terms and your requirements. We do not currently offer a healthcare-specific compliance commitment.
