IRS Form 2848 (Power of Attorney)

Fax Form 2848 to the CAF unit for your state so someone else can represent you before the IRS. Use the number for where you live, not where the tax matter is handled, unless line 4 of the form says otherwise.

A Form 2848 with an electronic signature must be submitted online at IRS.gov, not faxed. Fax only a form with a handwritten signature.
