International fax country codes
Enter the full number with a leading + and country code. Drop a trunk prefix (often a leading 0) unless that country keeps it—Italy is a common exception.
How to format the number
- Start with + and the country code (for example +44 for the UK).
- Add the area or city code and local number, without spaces if you prefer—spaces are fine too.
- Remove the national trunk prefix (usually a leading 0) after the country code, unless local rules say to keep it.
Example: a London number written locally as 020 7946 0000 becomes +44 20 7946 0000 for an international fax.
